STEAMBOAT SPRINGS
July 3, 4, and 5 — Cowboys’ Roundup Days with the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo
July 3
First Friday Artwork is on Thursday this month, to avoid overlapping with the 4th of July. It’s from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 3 at the Depot Art Center and other galleries in downtown Steamboat Springs. The evening is being called “Spark the Night: A Thursday Art Celebration.”

20th Annual Jumpin’ & Jammin’ Ski Jumping Extravaganza returns to Howelsen Hill, July 3-4. The event, hosted by the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club with title sponsor Yampa Valley Bank, will feature more than 80 of the top Nordic Combined and ski jumping athletes in the country.
Competitors will jump on the HS8, HS45 and HS75 ski jumps. Olympic hopefuls Erik Belshaw, Annika Belshaw, Decker Dean, Jason Colby, and Niklas Malicinski are scheduled to compete, along with women’s Nordic Combined National Team members Ella Wilson, Alexa Brabec, and Annika Malicinski.
Competition begins at 9 a.m. Thursday, July 3, with ski jumping qualifications.
Events continue on Friday, July 4, with the Nordic Combined 1K run and 3K roller ski race beginning at 9:15 a.m. before the Steamboat Fourth of July parade on Lincoln Avenue. Following the parade, the main ski jumping event begins at 11 a.m. at Howelsen Hill. Athletes will launch from the HS75 jump, flying up to 225 feet.
Jumpin’ and Jammin’ event is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family to support Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club athletes and the ski jumping and Nordic Combined program.
The Howelsen Howler Alpine Slide will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., also located at the base of Howelsen Hill. Proceeds from the slide benefit Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

Friday, 4th of July
- 7-9:30 a.m. Lions Club Pancake Breakfast in Little Toots Park
- 8 a.m. flag raising in front of the new Veterans Center at 924 Lincoln Ave.
- 9:15 a.m. Nordic Combined 1K Run
- 9:30 a.m. 3K Roller Ski
- 10 a.m. Hometown Parade presented by Yampa Valley Bank, on Lincoln Ave., between 6th and 10th Streets. The theme is “Salute to Dog Town USA.” Grand Marshals are Elaine Hicks and Kathy Connell.
- 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Elimination Jump Competition at Howelsen Hill
- 1 p.m. Official ribbon-cutting of The Veterans Center at 924 Lincoln Ave., after the parade.
- Steamboat Springs will not have fireworks, due to fire danger.
Dogs are invited to walk in the parade with the Routt County Humane Society (RCHS) and Steamboat Digs Dogs (SDD). Meet at 8:45 a.m. on the 4th of July on 10th Street near Steamboat Meat and Seafood. The first 65 participants receive a “Got Dog?” T-shirt and a festive flag bandana for their dog. From the Routt County Humane Society:
Dogs must be on a leash, and we encourage you to bring water and plenty of spirits! For pups who prefer to kick back and relax, trailers will be available, allowing them to catch a ride and enjoy the parade in comfort. No dog? No problem – carry a fun sign and show your support for Routt County Humane Society, Steamboat Digs Dogs, and the joy dogs bring to our community.

July 4 – Dedication of the new Veterans Center building
This is happening at 1 p.m., right after the 4th of July Parade. Visit the Veterans Center at 924 Lincoln Avenue for the official dedication of the renovation.
July 4
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 9th and Oak Streets is hosting their annual 4th of July Hot Dog Extravaganza. It’s right after the parade, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
July 4-5
Perry-Mansfield presents a pre-professional intensive Evening of Dance, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 4-5. More information is at Perry-Mansfield.org/Events, or call 970-879-7125.
STEAMBOAT RESORT
July 4 — Concerts at Steamboat Ski Resort
- 5:30 p.m. is Banshee Tree
- 7 p.m. is the MarchFourth band at 7 p.m. It’s a 15-member band of musicians, dancers, and acrobats on the Steamboat stage.
Bike there or park for free in the Upper Knoll Lot. Shuttles will be running from the Meadows Parking Lot. Everything is free at Steamboat Resort, but please leave your pets at home. This event also depends on the weather and is subject to change.
Then AFTER that, it’s a drone show, at the base area of Steamboat. That will start when it gets dark.
July 5
Movies on the Mountain is this Saturday night in Steamboat Square at the base of Steamboat Resort. Bring a chair and enjoy this week’s movie under the stars. It’s all free and fun for the whole family.

YAMPA AND SOUTH ROUTT COUNTY
July 3 in Yampa
- 5-7 p.m. is the Community Picnic at Yackey Park, behind the museum. All proceeds go to the Yampa Egeria Historical Society. There is also live entertainment with music and games.

- 7-10 a.m. SoRoCo Girls Basketball Pancake Breakfast at Ladies Aid Hall
- 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Yampa Library is open
- Parade is at 1 p.m. Lineup at River Park before noon.
- After the parade – join at the school grounds for games and hot dogs or chili dogs. Food trucks will also be there.
- 4 p.m. is Horse Polo on Moffat Avenue. NO PETS ALLOWED.
- Fireworks on the 4th of July are WEATHER PERMITTING.
NORTH ROUTT COUNTY
Steamboat Lake State Park and Friends of Steamboat Lake have lots of 4th of July fun.
- Wednesday, July 2, is a Star party at 8:30 p.m. This is at the Dutch Hill Marina Parking Lot.
- Thursday, July 3, is Friendship Beaded Bracelets at 10 a.m. at the Visitor Center. Firewatching – Stories of the Night Sky is at 8:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater.
- Friday, July 4, is Crawdad Craze at 10 a.m. by the Steamboat Lake Marina.
- Saturday, July 5, is a Bike Parade at 10 am. at the Sunrise Vista Amphitheater.

- July 5 — Fireworks are at Steamboat Lake State Park on Saturday night, July 5. Fireworks are completely funded through community donations. Link to donate.
- Sunday, July 6, is Retro Tennis Show Pom poms at 10 a.m. at the Visitor Center.
CRAIG AND MOFFAT COUNTY
July 3-4 — Ride ‘n Tie Rodeo is at the Moffat County Fairgrounds.
July 3 — CPRA Rodeo starts at 7 p.m. at the Moffat County Fairgrounds for Ride ‘n Tie Days.
July 4 — CPRA Slack starts at 8 a.m., and the Junior Rodeo is at 11 a.m., with the CPRA Rodeo at 7 p.m. on the 4th of July
July 4 — 4th of July Parade in Craig. The VFW Post 4265 is coordinating the Craig Freedom parade from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 4th of July. It starts at Veterans park to Victory Way and on to Sandrock Assisted Living. Many will be there including the Colorado Cruisers Car Club, Craig schools marching band, gymnastics and ninja classes and more.
Craig Fireworks tentatively begin at dusk, on the hill behind the high school.
MEEKER
July 4 — The 4th of July Parade is in downtown Meeker on Main Street, starting at 10 a.m. It is hosted by the Meeker Chamber of Commerce. The 2025 theme is “Women of the West.”
July 5 — Meeker Range Call is celebrating 140 years with country music superstar Brett Young, live in concert, Saturday, July 5. Get your wristband today before they sell out at meekerrangecall.com. WYOMING
