A new letter has been sent to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission. It is from the Colorado Cattlemen’s Association, the Middle Park Stockgrowers out of Grand County, and the Holy Cross Cattlemen’s Association out of Garfield County. It is again about the removal of the depredating Copper Creek Pack from Grand County, that was reintroduced to Pitkin County and continued with livestock depredations. The letter reiterates that this is all against the CPW Wolf Plan and all of the pack needs to be removed. Here’s Tim Ritschard with Middle Park Stockgrowers.
“We wanted to tell the commission that we tried to warn them what the Copper Creek Pack really was and we just wanted to say, ‘Hey, look. We tried to tell you.”
The CPW Commission is meeting on Monday, July 7, to specifically discuss the Copper Creek Pack. Public Comment is not being allowed at the meeting.
