The Routt County Board of County Commissioners meets this morning. Mike Mordi from Public Works will lead the discussion on the permit hearing for the SBT GRVL® ride next year. That starts at 1 p.m. Race weekend for 2026 would be June 26-28, with all rides and the race being held on that Sunday, the 28th. It would start and finish on Yampa Street in downtown Steamboat Springs. The presentation says the SBT GRVL® ride is the largest local economic contributor on the summer calendar in Routt County, since 2019, with participants spending more than $5 million on lodging, restaurants, shops, and entertainment.
Also at today’s meeting, Routt County Environmental Health Director Scott Cowman will also report on the Milner Sewer Collection System.

A Pitch Competition for the Routty Kidpreneurs is from 5-7 p.m. this Thursday, July 31, in the Routt County Board of County Commissioners Room in the historic Routt County Courthouse. All are invited. The kids will be winning cash prizes courtesy of a grant from the Ski Town USA Rotary Club.
