Fire updates… The Thirteen Fire started in Craig Sunday afternoon in the area of 9th and 13th streets when a house caught on fire. It is under control as of late Sunday night. Here’s Sgt. Nicholas Cordova with the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office.
“We do not know the cause of the initial fire right now. Once we have that information, we will release it. It is now considered a wildland fire because it spread to grass areas in the area.”
Craig Police reports 45 acres burned and all evacuation and pre-evacuation orders are lifted. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Updates on this fire will be on the Facebook pages for the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office and Craig Police.
