The American Legion National Commander, Dan K. Wiley, has been traveling through Northwest Colorado, starting off a statewide tour. He visited Craig, Hayden, and Steamboat Springs on Sunday.
“It’s great to be here in Colorado. We tour the posts to see what the posts are doing in local communities. The posts in a lot of these communities are doing great things, supporting our veterans. Not only our veterans, but supporting the community as a whole and spreading the message about the American Legion and their just out there taking care of one another and taking care of veterans in their communities.”
American Legion National Commander Dan Wiley ended the evening last night at the new Veterans Center in downtown Steamboat Springs. He is an Air Force veteran, and retired Kansas District Court Judge, who now owns a cattle farm in Leavenworth. Wiley will travel to Buena Vista and Colorado Springs on Monday.
