A Steamboat Springs High School member of the golf team had a hole in one Saturday at Steamboat Golf Club. Banks Ward was on Hole 7 at a par 4.
“When I hit it, all my friends, said ‘That’s an awesome hit.’ We never saw it go in from the tee box or anything. When we were walking up, we kept looking and looking and we said, ‘Wow, there’s no ball. Why don’t I just look in the hole,’ and there it was, in the hole. We just jumped up and down and screamed!”
Ward is a sophomore at SSHS.
