Now through October
D&D Metal has plenty of pumpkins. Anyone who drops off metal to recycle can pick up a FREE pumpkin.
Oct. 18
The Wyman Museum Pumpkin patch is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, just on the east side of Craig. Reach out to the museum if you would like to be a vendor.
Oct. 23
The Hayden Halloween Party is at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Hayden Center, 495 W. Jefferson Ave. It’s a spooky celebration for ages 12-18, hosted by Hayden Youth Action Council & Queer Futures. Activities include a pumpkin painting contest, best costume, and a free showing of “A Quiet Place,” at 7:15 p.m. The event is free and includes snacks, drinks and fun giveaways. Questions? SCREAMBOAT is back at the old McKnight’s Irish Pub in Wildhorse Plaza, at 685 Marketplace Plaza. It is no longer being held at Colorado Mountain College. Listen to a scary skeleton:

There will be over 15 rooms with over 20 animatronics and animations, with live scare actors in front of the building.
Screamboat this year will be October 24, 25, 26 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and then the following weekend of Oct. 30, 31, and Nov. 1 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Hours are 6-10 p.m.
Screamboat is not recommended for young children, and it is suggested that any children or young teenagers come with a parent and at a parent’s discretion. There will be one hour at 5 p.m. on one day where the lights will be on for people and maybe younger children to take a less-scary tour. Those details are being finalized.

Oct. 24
5th Quarter with Partners for Youth presents Fright Night Frenzy. It’s from 9-11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at the Moffat County High School Football Field. This is for middle school and high school kids. There’s also a costume contest with food and music.
Oct. 25
Hayden’s First Annual Halloween Costume Party (over 21 years old) is from 8-11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 25, at The Hayden Community Center. It’s free and there is a $200 cash prize for the best costume. There will be a bar4, beer pong, music, and fun.

Haunted Halloween Hay Wagon rides are happening at the Bar Lazy L Ranch on Saturday, 26480 RCR 52E just 15 minutes north of Steamboat Springs. The rides are a fall fundraiser for Routt County 4H. The first ride is from 2-5 p.m. for kids. There’s a petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, free chili and hot cocoa. Dress up in your Halloween finest and don’t miss the fun. It’s $20 per person but kids two and under are free.
The event gets a lot scarier on Saturday night for Haunted Hayrides, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. with live scare actors. This is only for people ages eight years and older, and a liability waiver must be signed. Those under 12 must be with an adult. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Oct. 25
The Halloween Fun 5K for the Foundry is at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. This is part of the nonprofit Steamboat Running Series, and it is the last event of the series this year. You can run or walk, bring the family and pets on a leash. But dress up in your Halloween finest. The race starts and ends in the parking lot at Soda Creek Elementary School, 220 Park Ave. in Steamboat Springs.

Sunday, Oct. 26
Join Colorado Mountain College’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) for a spooky good time at Hill Hall’s Enchanted Castle event. It’s from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26.
The whole building will be decked out for trick-or-treating, games, and fun — perfect for families and community members of all ages. Trick-or-treat throughout the hall and look for the doors with little trick-or-treat signs. Enjoy a free carnival with prizes and games on the first floor.
Please bring a non-perishable food donation to help support CMC’s local food drive.
Buckets/bags for trick-or-treating will be available at the front desk if needed. Everything is free and open to the community.

Get ready for a frightfully fun evening on the ice! 🎃 Join Steamboat Skating Club in their annual Fright Night from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October. Bring your family and friends for spooky skating, festive fun, and plenty of Halloween spirit! $12 per person or $40 for a family of four.

Witches Night Out at Alpenglow — 3rd Annual Gathering of the Spooky Sisterhood! Join us for an evening of Halloween delights, raffles, live music, cauldron cocktails & more. Plus, a best dressed contest, so wear your finest witchy attire. FREE Admission. Food and drink available for purchase. Alpenglow is at 198 E Lincoln Ave, Hayden, CO 81639.
Oct. 31 in Steamboat Springs
Trick or Treat Street in Downtown Steamboat Springs. Hours are 5-7 p.m. Lincoln Avenue will close at 2 p.m. on Halloween so plan accordingly to get to downtown safely. Bus rides are being suggested.
