Just seven months after his retirement, former Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Brandon Graham announced on Tuesday that he will come out of retirement and return to the team. The 37-year-old veteran pass rusher agreed to a one-year deal for his 16th season with Philadelphia, where he spent his entire NFL career after being selected 13th overall in the 2010 draft.

The veteran pass rusher — a two-time Super Bowl champion and the longest-tenured player in franchise history — made the news official on his ‘Brandon Graham Unblocked’ podcast, saying:  “according to sources and what you all have heard, now you can hear it from me, I’m back one more time. I’m excited just to get after it.  No expectations baby. Just trying to help the team … Of course, I believe in the team, that’s a big part of it, too. I think they got everything they need. I just want to add more value.”

The Eagles also confirmed the news with a post on X which read: “OUT OF RETIREMENT HE COMES! We’ve agreed to terms with DE Brandon Graham. Bring on Season 16 👏”

Over 15 seasons, Graham appeared in 206 games, becoming one of the longest-tenured and most respected players in franchise history. His standout year came in 2020, when he earned his first Pro Bowl selection after recording 46 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery across 16 starts. Graham helped lead the Eagles to Super Bowl victories in both the 2017–18 and 2024–25 seasons. In 2024, he appeared in 11 games, contributing 20 tackles, six tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two pass deflections, and one forced fumble.

The Eagles currently hold a 5-2 record, and will host the New York Giants (2-5) this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET in Philadelphia.
