Kelly Meek is being inducted into the Colorado High School Activities Association Hall of Fame, Class of 2026. Meek was Head Basketball Coach at Steamboat Springs High School for 34 years.
“Mostly, I am grateful to all the kids and my assistant coaches, and my past coaches and teachers that I had when I was young. It means a lot to me about what all they did and the dedication they had. And so it’s more about an award for everybody and a team, and I’m just grateful I was able to acquire a job in Steamboat Springs.”
Meek finished with 544 wins which ranks him third all-time among Colorado high school coaches. The gymnasium at Steamboat Springs High School was named after him in 2005. He entered the Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2011.
The induction ceremony is in April on the Front Range.
