Tuesday, Nov. 4, is Election Day. Turn in your ballot before 7 p.m.
In Moffat County, there is a 24-hour Election Drop Box at the East Entrance of the new courthouse building.
Drop off locations in Routt County are at the town halls in Hayden, Yampa, and Oak Creek, and at the Clark Store in North Routt, during regular business hours. There are also two secure drop boxes, open 24 hours and under video surveillance located in the alley behind the Historic Courthouse downtown Steamboat and the parking lot of the Sheriff’s office at 2025 Shield Dr.

Routt County Board of County Commissioners has a meeting Tuesday. At 11 a.m. a proclamation will be read recognizing veterans for Operation Green Light.
Local veterans will be there. Operation Green Light is Nov. 4-11, where communities light up buildings and homes in green, in support for veterans, and to raise awareness of their challenges during the transition to civilian life.
Also on today’s agenda is a presentation from the Historic Preservation Board. There is a nomination for the Hayden Congregational Church to be added to the Routt County Historic Register. Agenda

They call themselves the Routt County Food Security Watchdogs. Representatives of local groups throughout the community are working to help solve food security gaps and community low-cost food options to those who need it.
There is a list of who can help, including local churches, LiftUp of Routt County, Northwest Colorado Health, Routt County Council on Aging, Meals on Wheels, Routt County Human Services, the Extension Office, and Public Health. Also, the Town of Yampa and United Way of the Yampa Valley.

The website for West End Sports Grill in Steamboat Springs says, “Permanently closed.” A social media post says a new restaurant will be opening in the space soon. The West End Sports Grill was on the west side of downtown Steamboat Springs for four years.

The Tread of Pioneers Museum, Steamboat Springs hosts History Happy Hour today. The subject is “Vietnam: America’s Most Controversial Conflict” with author and historian Flint Whitlock. History Happy Hour is at 5:30 p.m. in Olympian Hall at Howelsen Hill.

Tuesday is the second round of the CHSAA 3A State Soccer Championships for the Steamboat Sailors Boys Soccer team. The #3 seeded Sailors host the #14 seeded KIPP Denver Collegiate White Tigers at Gardner Field. The game will be broadcast on KTYV Sports on FM at 97.7 & 105.7 here in the Yampa Valley.
