Honoring Tradition and Elevating the Experience for Winter 2025/26 at Steamboat Resort
Steamboat Springs, CO, November 3, 2025 – Steamboat Ski Resort is proud to announce a series of new products, renovations and returning favorites for the 2025/26 season. From Olympic celebrations and expanded air service, to restaurant renovations and guest safety programs, these updates reflect Steamboat’s commitment to innovation, honoring our heritage and providing the exceptional guest experience that Steamboat is known for.
Olympic Heritage Highlights
After sending 13 new Olympians to the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing, Steamboat has ties to more winter Olympians than any other town in the United States with 100 and counting. With the 2026 Winter Olympics fast approaching, Steamboat is honoring our deeply rooted heritage with unique Olympic athlete experiences and events for the 2025/2026 season.
Ski and Dine with an Olympian
Debuting this season, Steamboat will offer the experience of a lifetime with the Ski with Olympian program. Guests can book a full day guided tour with a Steamboat Olympian to explore the resort. New this year, guests can enjoy dinner with an Olympian. The experience will provide an intimate setting in The Steamboat Grand’s reenvisioned restaurant, The Crooked Antler. Enjoy a delicious meal and hear personal experiences from Steamboat’s Olympians throughout history.
Olympic Events
Returning this season, Steamboat welcomes back the Visa Big Air presented by Toyota on December 11-13, 2025, and the Para Snowboard World Cup February 6-10, 2026. Both are Olympic qualifying events for athletes hoping to compete in the 2026 Olympic Games.

Ahead of the 2026 games in Cortina, Steamboat will honor our heritage with the Ski Town U.S.A. Olympian Celebration on January 31, 2026. A favorite local tradition, this event celebrates previous Olympians, current athletes and the Steamboat community as we gather, and light the Olympic flame ahead of Cortina 2026.
CMC Lift Donation/Partnership
In collaboration with Colorado Mountain College, Steamboat Ski Resort has donated an old surface lift, Rough Rider, to the Leadville campus to support students preparing for careers in the ski industry. This donation supports CMC Leadville’s comprehensive Ski Area Operations program, which trains students in ski area management, lift operations, grooming, ski instruction, ski patrol, and the overall business of running a ski resort. As the industry places greater emphasis on lift maintenance education, this lift will serve as a valuable hands-on resource for students from installation through ongoing management. It also supports the launch of a Lift Maintenance Apprenticeship Program aimed at building a stronger, more technically skilled workforce for the ski industry.
Mountain Safety Team
Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation (SSRC) is proud to announce a new initiative in guest safety with the formation of the Mountain Safety Team (MST). This team represents a commitment to creating a safe and positive experience for all guests at the resort. Members of the MST will be educated in the National Ski Areas Association (NSAA) Responsibility Code, ensuring they are prepared to promote safe practices on the mountain. With the backing of Ski Patrol and Ambassadors, MST will be the frontline of speed management, safety education and conflict resolution to continue creating a great guest experience while enhancing safety visibility and presence on the mountain. Guests can expect to see the MST present at high-speed zones during peak times to provide education and encourage skiing and riding at safe speeds.
Steamboat Restaurants New Looks
The Crooked Antler
Located inside The Steamboat Grand Hotel, The Crooked Antler revamps the restaurant space previously known as The Cabin, creating a cozy environment featuring a menu centered around comfort food at a reasonable price. The restaurant offers daily brunch, happy hour and scratch-made entrees for $20 and under.
Hazie’s
Steamboat’s premier on-mountain dining experience is getting a fresh look. Named after Hazie Werner, the grand lady of the Yampa Valley, Hazie was known for her warmth and hospitality. This season the interior will feature a steel vapor fireplace, custom quartzite bar and leather upholstery to enjoy stunning views of the valley. Hazie’s will be open for lunch and dinner, lunch will be a la carte, while dinner features a four-course meal. Reservations are required for lunch and dinner, with limited walk-in availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
Steamboat Announces Expanded Winter Air Service
Steamboat (HDN) is the only Colorado mountain destination to feature nonstop service from six major carriers. United Airlines, Steamboat’s largest carrier, returns with nonstop service from all seven of their national hub airports into Steamboat (HDN) and adds frequency to flights from Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), and San Francisco (SFO). Most United nonstop airports will fly an extra week into April through the Easter holiday. Jet Blue will see expanded service into the month of January from Boston (BOS) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Southwest will add nonstop service from Austin (AUS) on Saturdays in March. The nonstop flights kick off on December 11, 2025. More information is available at steamboat.com/flights.
Steamboat Way Campaign
Steamboat celebrates its western heritage and community with the fourth year of The Steamboat Way campaign. This campaign showcases skiing, the town of Steamboat, and its way of life. Jingles from the 70’s and 80’s have been transformed and reimagined into full-length songs with the help of Colorado band, Heavy Diamond Ring. These songs create a parallel between cowboy culture and skiing and riding in deep Champagne Powder® snow. This campaign captures the sense of belonging that guests discover amongst the groomers and the glades at Steamboat.
Cashless Resort Transition
Steamboat Ski Resort is transitioned to a cashless business model in the summer of 2025. Accepted payment methods include credit/debit cards and Tap-To-Pay via Google, Samsung, and Apple Pay. A reverse ATM is available in Steamboat Square (between Timber & Torch and the Sheraton bathrooms) as well as in the Ticket Office during its operating hours for guests to convert cash into Visa debit cards. We recommend exchanging cash before loading the gondola as no reverse ATMs are available on-mountain.
New Adventure Map
Guests of all ages can explore the mountain with the new interactive Steamboat Adventure Map. In collaboration with Yampatika and Trout Unlimited, this map provides the opportunity to explore unique locations on the mountain while learning about the environment, wildlife, and importance of preserving Steamboat’s natural beauty. Guests collect stickers to complete their own trail map while scanning QR codes to learn about each area. Maps may be found at the ticket office.
