Parking restrictions are in place for Steamboat Springs, with no overnight parking on city streets through the end of April.

 

 

The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office also wants to remind Shadow Mountain residents in Craig that there is no on-street parking now through April 1. This is for all vehicles and trailers and anything that might hinder snow removal.

 

Those who are supposed to be receiving SNAP benefits, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, have options in Routt and Moffat counties. SNAP cards are available at the Routt County Department of Human Services. That’s at 135 6th Street. Gift cards for Moffat County residents are expected to be available starting today or Friday, thanks to a philanthropic private donation of $115,000 through Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Call Moffat County Human Services first to confirm those cards are in and are available. That number is 970-824-8282. More details are in the link below.

Coats from the Coat Drive are now available at LiftUp of Routt County. This is for Routt County residents. Get a coat voucher from the LiftUp Food Bank or case workers. The coats are available through Nov. 30.

 

The Town of Oak Creek has a town Board meeting Thursday. One agenda item is about a Memorandum of Understanding of who oversees the skating rink in Oak Creek. Also, a work session will discuss a proposal for the Boys & Girls Club to manage youth recreation and childcare in Oak Creek. That meeting starts at 5:30 p.m.  Agenda

 

Hayden Town Council meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. One agenda item is a Community Health Assessment and Action Plan Presentation. Also on the agenda, the contract with Twin Landfill and Apex Twin Enviro will be reviewed and considered for approval.

 

 The Routt County Planning Commission meets at 6 p.m. Thursday. One agenda item is a site plan review for employee housing for Colorado Parks and Wildlife employees on the north shore of Stagecoach Reservoir. Agenda

 

A Routt County: Land Stewardship Class is Nov. 6 (5:30-8 p.m.) and Nov. 8 (9 a.m.-4:15 p.m.). This is offered by the Community Agriculture Alliance and Routt County CSU Extension Office. Real Estate agents can earn seven hours of continued education credit. It’s in the Routt County Community Room, 135 6th Street.

Larry Young has been promoted to Director of Resort and Hotel Sales at Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. Young has led various roles at the resort for the past 20 years.

 

 

The Parade of Lights in Craig is Nov. 29. Float applications can be picked up at Moffat Mercantile or KS Creations on Yampa Avenue in downtown Craig.

 

The game time has been set for the third round 3A State Championship game for the Steamboat Sailors Boys Soccer Team. It’s at 1 p.m. this Saturday, here at home, at Gardner Field. CHSAA Bracket
