Veterans in Northwest Colorado are being honored and recognized with different events and programs this week. Many of the schools are having programs throughout the day Tuesday.
Here’s veteran Jim Stanko with local American Legion post 44 and VFW Post 4264 in Routt County.
“To honor Veterans Day is not just for veterans, it’s for the total public to come and honor the service of veterans. And these kids at the schools do a tremendous program to honor veterans, but also to make the public aware of what Veterans Day is all about. The kids do a lot of hard work and over the last few years have put on tremendous programs that the public should come and attend. Everybody is invited.”
