Two promotions have been announced by Steamboat Resort. Paul Spraycar has been promoted to Director of Finance. Joey Andrew is the new General Manager of the Steamboat Grand Hotel.

Here’s more from Steamboat Resort.

Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation (SSRC) has announced the promotion of Paul Spraycar to the Director of Finance role effective immediately. Spraycar steps into the role previously held by Pete Blei who recently accepted the role of Vice President of Finance for Steamboat.

Spraycar joined SSRC earlier this year as a Senior Financial Analyst where he drove financial strategies to advance asset values for the resort. Spraycar came to SSRC from Upper Basin Capital in Steamboat Springs, and prior to that was a Program Director at the Nature Conservancy leading conservation investments in real assets.

“I am very excited for Paul to step into the role of Director of Finance for SSRC,” says Vice President of Finance, Pete Blei. “He brings a balanced perspective, carries a genuine interest in the business, and most importantly, Paul is a great guy who lifts up those around him through his positivity and willingness to help.”

As Director of Finance, Spraycar will serve as a key financial advisor to Resort Operations, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial planning. He will lead capital investment strategies, evaluate ROI, and provide data-driven insights to optimize revenue and costs, ensuring strong stewardship of financial resources and advancing the resort’s long-term asset value.

“Since moving to Steamboat in 2019, I’ve been inspired by how deeply our community values Steamboat’s legacy,” says Spraycar. “It’s a privilege to be part of the team that works every day to preserve and enhance that experience for everyone who lives in or visits Steamboat.”

Paul appreciates the unique lifestyle the community offers for his family including skiing with his two children, ages 10 and 8. Paul also enjoys exploring Steamboat’s extensive trail system during the summer with his wife Ashley and golden retriever Ozzie.

Paul will report to the Vice President of Finance and serve on the resort’s Leadership Team.

The Steamboat Grand Announces Joey Andrew as General Manager

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO — December 11, 2025 – Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation (SSRC) is pleased to announce Joey Andrew as the new General Manager of The Steamboat Grand Hotel. Andrew steps into the role previously held by Kathy Hastings who as recently transitioned to the Vice President of Food and Beverage for SSRC.

As General Manager, Andrew will oversee all hotel operations at The Steamboat Grand while providing leadership, training, and mentorship across departments. He will also guide service strategy, owner relations, operational planning, and capital projects, ensuring future-focused improvements and active participation in the Grand Homeowners Association.

“Joey’s proven ability to elevate service standards, strengthen key partnerships, and drive operational excellence across every facet of resort operations makes him an exceptional fit for this role,” said Blair McNamara, Vice President of Lodging for SSRC. “His deep roots in Steamboat and commitment to the community bring a unique perspective that will further enhance The Steamboat Grand’s connection to our guests and owners.”

Andrew transitions to The Steamboat Grand from One Steamboat Place, where he served as Director of Resort Operations overseeing guest recovery, transportation, reservations, asset management, concierge services, food & beverage, and HOA relations. He is recognized for elevating service standards, strengthening key partnerships, and driving operational service standards.

“I’m honored to lead a property that plays such an important part of Steamboat’s history,” said Andrew. “The Grand has an exceptional team, and I’m excited to support them as we continue enhancing the experience for both owners and guests.”

A fifth-generation Steamboat local, Andrew brings a uniquely rooted perspective to the role. Beyond his resort leadership experience, Andrew has a strong track record within the community and holds values that shape his leadership philosophy of hard work, accountability, and dedication to the Yampa Valley’s long-term vitality. A former Steamboat Springs School Board President, he helped lead the development of Sleeping Giant School and major district improvements and his multi-generational family farm has donated thousands of pounds of produce to area food banks.
