This is the first year to have a full girls high school wrestling at Steamboat Springs High School. Here’s head coach Cory McGrady.
“So we have the first ever Steamboat Springs High School Girls Wrestling Team. It’s extremely exciting. We’ve got a great group of girls here. We had about seven incoming freshman this year, so it’s a huge number to have for wrestling in general. The girls that we have on the team are just willing to work hard and they support each other a lot. So as a coach, that’s the main thing we want to see on a wrestling team, that they work hard and support each other.”
It’s the 4th year for the Moffat County Girls Wrestling team, which has ten girls on the team this year. Two of those girls are from Hayden, and wrestling for the Bulldogs.
