Press Release from Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA; Dec. 15, 2025
2026 Dancing with the Steamboat Stars Dancers, Second Show Announced
(Steamboat Springs, 2025) Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA has announced its spring lineup of “Stars” for its annual Dancing with the Steamboat Stars (DWTSS) event occurring in April. Along with the lineup, it has released the plans for a second show (a matinee), a new website dedicated to the event, and the April 11th date of the event.
This year eight acts will compete at the yearly event which is the major fundraising effort of the local non-profit that began the popular community event in 2012. Billed as the “Best night out in Steamboat” through its sold-out popularity the event has had strong support from the community selling out quickly every year missing only the 2020 COVID epidemic year. Made up of all local talent the past DWTSS shows featured local business owners, real estate professionals, city officials, pickleball staffers, moms, and Resort professionals all who dedicate themselves to months of practice and raising about $10,000 each.
This year’s dancers are: Nevada Musgrave, teacher, Sleeping Giant School paired with choreographer Stephanie Juneau; Lynna Broyles, Vanetta Group Steamboat Sotheby’s International Reality, paired with choreographer Kaylee Ayres; Jason Partovi, owner Skull Creek, Hypnotic Chicken, and Wild Plum, paired with choreographer Kat Goodhand; Tiffany Leeson, Rotarian, Librarian, and Yogi Master, paired with choreographer Jessica LeBlanc; Dan Hagney, owner B Marked Promotions, paired with choreographer Penny Hamilton; Eric Abalos, Steamboat Handyman, paired with choreographer Stephanie Rabbit; Nicole Ouellette, Destination Hospitality wedding and events coordinator, paired with choreographer Andrea Kortas; and Rose Alford, Big Agnes Sales Manager, paired with choreographer Janet Peasley.
Because of the popularity of the event in past years the regular show at 7:30pm on the 11th will be supplemented with a matinee show at 2pm that day. This show will be a family friendly show with discounted tickets for children and a community effort of free tickets for local nonprofits, children’s centric organizations, and senior citizens.
A new dedicated, permanent, website for Dances with the Steamboat Stars has also been designed and is up and running at www.danceforcasa.org where tickets can be purchased, past shows and dancers can be accessed, and donations for the event can be made. Sponsors at certain levels receive guaranteed show tickets.
Northwest Rocky Mountain CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is one of 18 CASA programs in Colorado, serving the 14th Judicial District, encompassing Grand, Routt, and Moffat Counties, and focusing on advocating for children who find themselves in judicial cases involving abuse and neglect. The NWRM CASA program was built by Colorado CASA in 2008 at the request of the Chief Judge of the 14th Judicial District. In 2011, NWRM CASA received independent non-profit status and continued to build the CASA program locally.
In 2018 NWRM CASA expanded our services to the district providing 3rd party supervised visitation through our Rocky Mountain Centers. Through both of our programs, CASA and Rocky Mountain Center Supervised Visitation, we are committed to ensuring the children of the 14th Judicial District have pathways of safety, stability, and hope for the future.
