The Moffat County Sheriff’s Office and their K-9 drug-sniffing dog helped arrest two men on alleged drug and weapon-related charges. Booked into the Moffat County Jail on Tuesday were 54-year-old Quintus Robinson and 46-year-old Larry Norman, both of Craig. They were stopped because of a vehicle registration that had expired. During the stop, the K-9 Prime, did a free-air sniff and alerted the sheriff’s deputy to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. Both men were eventually arrested on multiple charges. Norman is still in the Moffat County Jail and is scheduled for a Hearing on Advisement on Dec. 31. Robinson has bonded out and has an Arraignment on Jan. 7, both in Moffat County Court.
Both are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Friday night is a special performance of “The Way It Was,” a movie by local filmmaker Max Sauerbrey. It’s about an Alaskan adventurer, who is his grandfather, Chuck Wirschem. The 82-year-old wanted to make an 8 mm film 50 years ago in Alaska, and he never finished it. But Max does.
“This movie is special because this movie is about memory. And it makes you think about what you want to do today, so when you look back when you’re Chuck’s age, which is 82, you’ll feel the same way that he does, which we’ll see in the movie, which is content and happy with what he’s done and the live that he’s lived. And one without regrets, and one with memories, and friends and loved ones.”
It’s about experiences and adventures in Alaska, featuring his grandfather.
Max is a 2018 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School. He is co-producer with his partner, Juliette Benedetto. They both now live in Brooklyn, NY.
While the movie is shown tonight, it is sold out and there is a wait list. It is also being released by Quickdraw Films in parts on YouTube and Instagram, with the full movie released on Jan. 4.
After the movie Friday night, there is a Q&A with Max and Grandpa Chuck.
