Yampa Valley Regional Airport – HDN is busy with holiday travel this week.
On the last day of the year today, there are 14 flights scheduled out of the local regional airport, on five airlines, with 17 incoming flights schedule to arrive in Hayden. More information is at FlySteamboat.com

In Craig, City Hall and city offices are closing at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1. City, county and federal offices are closed for New Year’s Day tomorrow.

At the base of Steamboat Resort, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., it’s the big New Year’s Eve Snow Cat Parade and Fireworks. The SnowSports instructors will be dazzling in the torchlight parade. Night skiing starts right afterwards.

Snow Bowl Steamboat also has a big New Year’s Eve bowling party, with bowling and dancing, and a (bowling) ball drop at 10 p.m. and midnight.

The Steamboat Skating Club has a Winter Wonderland on Ice from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Howelsen Ice Arena.

In Craig, there’s a New Year’s Eve Ice Skating Party at Moffat County Ice Arena, from 6-9 p.m.

The Steamboat Swings Dance group is inviting all to a New Year’s Eve Dance Party called Neon Lights. That starts at 8 p.m. tonight at the Steamboat Art Depot. Enjoy snacks, a midnight toast, cash bar, and lots of dancing. Questions? Email info@SteamboatSwings.com
