“I’m very excited to serve as president-elect this year for the Colorado County Clerks Association. It’s a humbling experience. I know I have a lot to learn but I have a lot I can teach as well and I’m very much looking forward to the next couple years.”

Thomas will serve as president-elect through next January when she will be sworn in as president of the Colorado County Clerks Association.

Slow down in school zones. Colorado State Patrol says troopers wrote 1,326 tickets last year in school or construction zones, which have lower speed limits. The county with the most tickets issued last year in Colorado was Eagle County, with 224. Locally, Routt County had four tickets issued last year and Moffat County had three, so we were way down on that list. Colorado State Patrol also says slow down, be patient, give extra space, and put away distractions, like your phone.
