Taylor Sheridan’s latest series in the ‘Yellowstone’ universe, ‘The Madison‘ starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, will premiere March 14 on Paramount+ The streamer has also released first-look images of the cast, and a more detailed description about the latest entry into the Dutton universe.

The Madison has been described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection” and also a “profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation.” The first season of the series, which follows New York City’s the Clyburns in the Madison River valley of central Montana, consists of six episodes (it’s not yet know how – or if – the Clyburn family is connected the Duttons).

Paramount+ calls The Madison Taylor Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date,” and says that the present-day series will unfold “across two distinct worlds — the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan — as it examines the ties that bind families together.”

The debut of The Madison comes in addition to two other present-day continuations in the ‘Yellowstone’ world — the CBS series Marshals will star Luke Grimes reprising his role as Kayce Dutton; and the Paramount+ series Dutton Ranch (working title) will see Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser reprising their roles as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.  All three spinoff series’ join the previous two prequel “Yellowstone’ series — ‘1883’ and ‘1923’. The next prequel saga will jump a few decades with the forthcoming prequel series, ‘1944.’

In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the star-studded cast of The Madison includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova and Matthew Fox.
