Today is the inaugural State of the City address in Steamboat Springs. City Council President Steve Muntean and City Manager Tom Leeson will provide updates on accomplishments and initiatives, and what’s ahead for Steamboat Springs. It’s at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, March 5), at Citizens Hall, 124 10th Street. A reception immediately follows the presentation.

A reception for a new exhibit at Wildhorse Cinema & Arts is at 5:30 p.m. tonight. It’s called Insight: Art for Climate Action, presented by the Western Resiliency Center. Link to reserve free tickets.
- Film Screening and Panel: “The Human Element” (Thursday, March 19, 7–9 p.m.), featuring a screening and facilitated discussion exploring the human impacts of climate change.
- Insight for Kids: Create Day (Sunday, March 22, 10 a.m.–Noon), a hands-on, family-friendly art experience focused on creativity, reuse, and environmental stewardship.
- Eco Art Collective Artists Meeting (Thursday, March 26, 6:30–8 p.m.), bringing artists and community members together to explore the role of art in climate dialogue and action.
Moffat County High School is hosting a College Fair & Career Expo on April 22, at the high school in Craig. The Routt County Fair is holding a contest on who can come up with the best drawing for the 112th Routt County Fair logo this year. Those 18 and under could win a Yeti Cooler. The Steamboat Sailors Girls Soccer team kicks off the season tonight with a 6 p.m. game against Aspen, and that game is at Aspen High School.
The Sailors Girls Lacrosse team is also away tonight with a 4 p.m. game against Holy Family High School in Broomfield.
The Steamboat Girls Tennis Team is off to Grand Junction tomorrow for a tournament at Canyon View Park.
The downhill is today at Steamboat ski area for the U.S. Ski & Snowboard U16 Rocky/Central Alpine Junior Championships. Athletes are competing, from 18 states.
