Steamboat Announces 2026-27 Winter Parking Program
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO– March 10, 2026- Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation (SSRC) will roll out a new parking program for the 2026-27 winter season designed to reduce single-occupancy vehicles, support sustainability goals, and improve the arrival experience at the resort through managing parking demand.
Under the new program that kicks off Opening Day next season, there will be free parking options in the Meadows Lot on weekdays from Monday through Thursday; paid parking will be available in the Meadows Lot on weekends and peak periods, in the Upper and Lower Knoll lots, as well as in the Gondola Square and Ski Time Square garages. Prepaid parking reservations will be available to guarantee a parking space in the Upper Knoll at a discounted rate through ParkMobile. A limited number of seasonal parking passes will be available for the Upper Knoll/Meadows Lot for $600 and the Meadows Lot for $300 with access to lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Season passes will provide a convenient and cost-effective option for frequent visitors to the resort and will go on sale April 9. While the program is intended to reduce the need for overflow parking, any designated overflow lots will be remain free.

A key feature of the new program is rewarding guests who ride share. Vehicles that arrive with three or more people will receive free parking in the Meadows lot. Guests may also book a prearranged carpool to reserve a limited number of free parking spaces in the Upper Knoll Lot. SSRC has worked closely with the City of Steamboat Springs during the process of planning this new program to support alternative transportation options, including encouraging connecting to the resort on Steamboat Springs Transit via the free bus from the Stockbridge Transit Center, and east portion of River Creek Park.
“Rolling out a new parking program this winter is about encouraging shifts in how our guests and community arrive at the resort,” said Dave Hunter, president and chief operating officer for SSRC. “We are optimistic that these changes will enhance the experience for the broader community by reducing traffic congestion on peak days, decreasing the number of single occupancy vehicles and minimizing the need for overflow lots.”
Beginning summer 2026, The Stockman will break ground in the current Northside parking lot which will transition that lot out of SSRC parking operations.
More parking details and updates will be available at www.steamboat.com ahead of the winter season.
