Routt County invites 6-12th graders to design this year’s “I Voted” sticker

Routt County middle school and high school students are invited to come up with a design for Routt County’s new “I Voted” sticker for the 2026 General Election. The winning design will be included in all mail ballot packets to all active registered voters in the county, and those who vote at the Polling Center.

Artwork has to be original and nonpartisan with the words, “I Voted” on it.

The deadline is May 1.

The winner gets $100.

All entry details can be found online (and below). as well as the submission form and template. Contact your school representative or Jenny Thomas, Routt County Clerk & Recorder with any questions and/or to submit your entry.

 

The State of Colorado is also having a contest for an “I Voted” sticker.

Routt County Clerk & Recorder Announces “I Voted” Sticker Contest

 

Routt County, CO, April 2, 2026 – The Routt County Clerk and Recorder’s Office Elections Division invites all County middle school and high school students to submit their designs for Routt County’s new “I Voted” sticker for the 2026 General Election. This contest is open to all Routt County students in grades 6-12.

 

“This contest is a fun way to involve young people in the democratic process while highlighting the importance of voting,” said Jenny Thomas, Routt County Clerk & Recorder. “We’re excited to give students the opportunity to help create something that every voter in Routt County will see and use during the election.”

 

The winner will be determined by a combination of popular vote in a democratic process within the Clerk & Recorder’s Office and the public of Routt County. The winning design will be included in mail ballot packets sent to all active registered voters in the County for the 2026 General Election and will be available for voters who cast their votes at the Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC). The creator of the winning design will be featured in a County-issued press release and possible media coverage and receive a $100 cash prize.

 

Contest Rules:

  • All entrants must be a student enrolled in a Routt County high school or home school in grades 6-12
  • All artwork submitted must be your own original work; no stock images or “borrowed” images may be used
  • Artwork must be nonpartisan
  • Entries must include the words “I Voted”; additional text is optional
  • Entries may (but are not required to) include visual elements or language that are representative of Routt County, but space is limited, so focus on making a compelling design rather than trying to include a lot of text
  • Entries may be hand drawn or digitally designed
  • Entries may be used for social media and other marketing materials for Routt County
  • All entries must be received by Friday, May 1

La Secretaría y Registro del Condado de Routt anuncia un concurso de pegatinas “Yo voté”

 

Condado de Routt, Colorado, 2 de abril de 2026 – La División Electoral de la Secretaría y Registro del Condado de Routt invita a todos los alumnos de secundaria y bachillerato del condado a presentar sus diseños para la nueva pegatina “Yo voté” del Condado de Routt con motivo de las elecciones generales de 2026. Este concurso está abierto a todos los estudiantes del condado de Routt de los grados 6 a 12.

 

“Este concurso es una forma divertida de involucrar a los jóvenes en el proceso democrático, al tiempo que se destaca la importancia de votar,” afirmó Jenny Thomas, secretaria y registradora del condado de Routt. “Estamos encantados de dar a los estudiantes la oportunidad de ayudar a crear algo que todos los votantes del condado de Routt verán y utilizarán durante las elecciones.”

 

El ganador se determinará mediante una combinación de voto popular en un proceso democrático dentro de la Oficina del Secretario y Registrador y del público del condado de Routt. El diseño ganador se incluirá en los paquetes de voto por correo que se enviarán a todos los votantes registrados activos del condado para las elecciones generales de 2026 y estará disponible para los votantes que emitan su voto en el Centro de Servicio al Votante y de Votación (VSPC). Bases del concurso:
