Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews are doing crack and seal work on Colorado Road 131, just south of the intersection with US Hwy 40. This is at Mile Marker 67.5 for about 3.5 miles down to Mile Marker 64. Work is being done starting Monday, April 27, and lasting through Thursday, weather permitting.
Traffic will be alternating from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Expect ten-minute delays.
CDOT writes, “Crack sealing is a critical, cost-effective pavement preservation technique that involves cleaning and filling cracks with hot, rubberized asphalt sealant to prevent water infiltration and base damage and extend the lifespan of the roadway. We ask that commuters please abide by signs and slow down in the work zone for the safety of workers and drivers alike.”
