Ballots for the Board of Directors for Yampa Valley Electric will be mailed out May 22.

 

Ray DuBois

Incumbent Ray DuBois is running uncontested in District 2 which is Sunbeam, Maybell, and Craig.

 

Sasha Nelson

Sasha Nelson is also an uncontested incumbent for District 3 which is the City of Craig.

 

Tom Fox

Sarah Jones

Lisa Rosintoski

District 6 is Steamboat Springs and North Routt. Incumbent Tom Fox has two challengers in the election. They are Sarah Jones and Lisa Rosintoski.

Ballots will be due June 18.

Headline: YVEA will have a contested race for the annual Board of Directors election

April 27, 2026 – Every year, Yampa Valley Electric Association holds elections for three of their nine districts. This year’s districts that are up for election are District 2 (Sunbeam, Maybell, Craig): Ray DuBois, District 3 (City of Craig): Sasha Nelson, and District 6 (Steamboat Springs, North Routt): Tom Fox. Current Board Members Nelson and DuBois’s districts are uncontested in 2026, and Board President Fox’s district is contested this year.

District 2: Ray DuBois, incumbent, uncontested

District 3: Sasha Nelson, incumbent, uncontested

District 6:
Tom Fox, incumbent
Lisa Rosintoski
Sarah Jones

The challengers for District 6 are Sarah Jones and Lisa Rosintoski. Bios for all candidates can be found at https://www.yvea.com/about-us/annual-meeting/

Ballots for voting on Board of Directors will be mailed out on May 22, 2026. Members will be voting on each of the candidates up for election. To be valid and counted, each ballot must be signed by the consumer-member whose name is on the label, and the ballot must be received at the location of the third-party ballot counter by Thursday, June 18, 2026. We will be holding our first hybrid voting, which will allow members to file their vote electronically. YVEA will be sending out information to members on how to cast ballots electronically. Members can also vote at the annual meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at YVEA’s Steamboat Springs headquarters, located at 2211 Elk River Road, Steamboat Springs, CO 80487. Ballots brought to the office or placed in our office drop boxes will not be accepted.
