Parrish Terry of Craig was sentenced in Moffat County Court on Monday. Judge Schneider sentenced Terry to three years of supervised probation and 100 hours of community service. He also has to complete anger management treatment and any other treatment recommended by adult probation.
The District Attorney’s office asked for 45 to 90 days of jail time to go along with probation. Judge Schneider sentenced Terry to 90 days but suspended the jail sentence upon the successful completion of the terms of his probation. If he successfully completes the terms of the probation, he will not have to serve jail time.
Terry was a pastor at a church in Craig, when he was convicted by a jury in March. Parrish Terry was convicted of Assault in the Second Degree which is a class four felony, and assault in the Third Degree, which is a misdemeanor. The crimes happened in Craig on June 15, 2025.

Demolition began Tuesday on the city block of Yampa and 12th Streets in downtown Steamboat Springs. There is no timetable for reconstruction as the project is still in the approval process. The Planning Commission will hear the proposal for The Latigo, which is eight condos, a restaurant, and a parking structure on May 14. It then goes before Steamboat Springs City Council on June 2.

The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission convenes for a hybrid meeting in Grand Junction today and tomorrow, May 6-7. On the agenda Wednesday is the adoption of all limited license numbers for black bear, deer, elk, pronghorn, and moose. Thursday morning is an update on the Wolf Program. Two Wolf Damage Claims are on the agenda to be recommended for approval for $262,768,77. The meeting will be streamed live on CPW’s YouTube page.

It’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Chamber of Commerce building in Craig, at 775 Yampa Ave. Lunch is provided. Wednesday, May 6, is the 32nd Annual Economic Summit, presented by the Steamboat Springs Chamber and the Routt County Economic Development Partnership. It’s from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Colorado Mountain College.

The newly elected Town Board for the Town of Yampa will be sworn in at the meeting tonight.
It is Kindergarten Information Night in the Moffat County School District. This is for future kindergarteners and their parents/guardians.
