Prom was Saturday night for Steamboat Springs High School. Around 350 students attended the prom up at Greenhorn Ranch at Steamboat Resort. 

Steamboat Springs Police School Resource Officer Lisa Eifling (pictured above with SSHS Athletic Director Luke DeWolfe) has written the following letter to those students who attended prom. The City of Steamboat Springs has shared the letter with Steamboat Radio News to share with the community.

A message from School Resource Officer Lisa Eifling. …..

 

To all of the students who attended the Steamboat Springs High School prom at Greenhorn Ranch —

 

As your School Resource Officer (SRO), I just want you to know how incredibly proud I am of every single one of you. Watching you all come together to plan such an unforgettable night, celebrate with your friends, and most importantly make safe and responsible choices, reminded me exactly why I love this job so much.

 

You represented your school, your families, and yourselves in the best way possible. From riding the gondola up the mountain to dancing the night away, you created memories that will last forever — and you did it while looking out for one another.

 

I could not be prouder to work with this generation of students, and I truly consider myself lucky to be called your SRO. Thank you for trusting us to be part of these moments with you. Nights like this remind me that there is so much good ahead in your future.

 

Keep being kind. Keep making smart choices. And never forget how proud this community is of you.
