The Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs unveiled a new wall mural in the Mary Brown Teen Center Tuesday. Erin Branscum is the artist, who helped high school students with the Keystone Club create the design and then paint it.

The Keystone Club at Boys & Girls Club is a leadership and community service club of high school students, one of whom is sophomore Elza Ross.
“I think the mural is so special because it shows so much leadership that has been put into it and creativity, and I hope it inspires the future middle schoolers that come into high school to join Keystone.”

The students in the Keystone Club first created three designs. Then they worked with Erin Branscum to come up with the best outline. Then they all painted it.

Students and staff made speeches before the unveiling and signed the wall underneath the mural, which features scenes, some real and some not, from the area.
Warehome Studios provided the scaffolding.
The Boys & Girls Club budget covered the costs.
