The Boys & Girls Club in old town Steamboat Springs is getting close to being finished with the updates and renovation. The upgrades are being made with money from a $79.5 million dollar school bond approved by voters in November of 2019. Kelly Landers is the Development Director for the Boys & Girls Club in Northwest Colorado.
Landers says the Steamboat Boys & Girls Club was open during COVID to serve the kids in the community. The gym has been repainted and two new bathrooms have been added. The stage is being remodeled into a new rec room. There will be new offices and a studio art room and kitchen and other rooms for the kids. They hope to move into the newly renovated areas in mid-June, just in time for summer camp.
