From Steamboat Resort, regarding the bike trails:
“Until our scheduled opening on June 18, all Steamboat Bike Park downhill only trails remain closed to the public. Between June 18 and Sept. 6, lower mountain Bike Park trails below Christie Peak Express will be open during operating hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Monday. The remaining Bike Park trails will be closed for the entire season due to Gondola construction. Other multi-use trails will be open for use throughout the summer but we ask that everyone please stay off the trails while they are drying out. If mud sticks to your tire, that is a sign to stay off the trail. With many construction projects happening on-mountain and at the base of the resort, please obey all signage and stay out of the way of heavy machinery while crews are working.”
Steamboat Resort is asking that mountain bikers stay off the trails until June 18. At that point, the lower mountain Bike Park trails below Christie Peak Express will be open. The rest of the bike trails will be closed for the entire summer season due to gondola construction.
