Four candidates to become a police officer in Steamboat Springs have been interviewed this week and several more are scheduled to be interviewed next week. Here’s Steamboat Springs Police Chief Cory Christensen.

Steamboat will pay to send those other two new officers through the academy in the fall. Christensen says locals should apply.
The city is also hiring at least three Community Service Officers for the summer season, to work 30 hours a week at special events and to help patrol parks and the core trail. Apply through SteamboatSprings.net/jobs
