This year’s 4th of July Parade is returning to Steamboat. Here’s more from the Steamboat Springs Chamber.

Fourth of July Parade Returns to Cowboys’ Round-Up Days in 2021

Steamboat Springs, Colorado – June 8, 2021 – The Steamboat Springs Chamber, in partnership with Yampa Valley Bank, is excited to announce the return of the Fourth of July Parade in 2021.

After coming up with creative ways to keep the Cowboys’ Round-Up Days celebration alive last year with a picnic and drive-through style parade, this year’s events will include many local favorites in addition to the parade.

“After a challenging 2020, we are looking forward to bringing the community together to celebrate,” said Kara Stoller, Steamboat Springs Chamber CEO. “There is so much to be thankful for and this is a great opportunity to honor the Yampa Valley’s rich Western heritage with lots of family fun.”

Groups looking to participate in the parade will be able to register a float starting Friday, June 11 on the Chamber website. Floats will be judged on originality, creativity, and spirit and the official parade theme will be announced in the upcoming week.

“As the genuine hometown bank, Yampa Valley Bank is thrilled that the Annual Fourth of July Parade will be back for 2021!” said PJ Wharton, Yampa Valley Bank President. “There isn’t a more all-American setting than a parade down Lincoln Avenue complete with local cowboys, horses, fire trucks, and extravagant floats. We are proud to sponsor this family friendly event and can’t wait to see our friends, neighbors, and customers along the parade route. See you on July 4th!”

The Fourth of July events kick off the with Pro Rodeo Series on Thursday, July 1. They will continue throughout the weekend with live music, the First Friday Artwalk, Farmer’s Market and more. Sunday, July 4 you can expect to see other fun events including the Jumpin and Jammin Ski Jump Competition, a special July 4 Rodeo, and the parade.

We would like all locals and visitors to be aware that this will be a crowded downtown event. Masks will not be required but we are asking all spectators to respect other’s space, choices, and to please stay home if you are sick.
