The Steamboat Springs High School Track and Field team wrapped up their season with the state track meet in Lakewood over the weekend. Here’s Senior Jaydon Fryer.
Two school records were broken at the state meet. One was with the 4×800 meter boys relay, which was a record previously set in 1981. They are: Bowden Tumminello, Jeremiah Kelley, Jaydon Fryer, and Thomas Lewer. Their time was 8:08 and they placed 5th.
The 4×200 meter girls relay team also broke a school record twice, finishing 4th overall. They are Elise Colby, Marcada Baker, Kelsey Hamilton and Aliyah Reimer.
The high school track and cross country team is hosting the Hahns Peak Vertical Trail race/run/walk on July 10, with a four-mile or an eight-mile option. Link to Register
