Steamboat Lake Fireworks –CANCELED
Fireworks, they aren’t happening in Steamboat Springs and now they aren’t happening at Steamboat Lake. They have been canceled. Routt County Sheriff Garrett Wiggins says there was a misunderstanding and miscommunication with Steamboat Lake State Park, that they didn’t realize they need a permit through either the North Routt Fire Protection District or the sheriff’s office. Sheriff Wiggins says the risk and fire danger is extremely high and they have to use extreme caution which is why the fireworks have to be canceled at Steamboat Lake.
