Strong winds with some rain blew through Steamboat Springs around noon today. The wind took a large tree down at Sundance Plaza. Rebecca Williams owns Steamboat Fit in Sundance Plaza. The tree landed on her car. Her son, Silas, was home with his dad when they got the phone call.
Silas will be a 5th grader in the fall. Two other trees fell in the same spot along Anglers Drive last year. Police showed up to assess the damage. The Williams family thinks the car may be totaled.
