
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center recognized as Best Hospital for Maternity
UCHealth Yampa Valley Medical Center was recently recognized by U.S. News and World Report (USNWR) as one of the Best Hospitals for Maternity care. The evaluation looked at hospital data relating to uncomplicated pregnancies and at five difference factors: scheduled early deliveries, C-section rates in low-risk women, newborn complications, rate of exclusive breast milk feeding and option for vaginal births after cesarean. USNWR categorized hospitals into two performance-based groups which included High Performing and Other Participating. YVMC was one of the 237 out of 571 eligible hospitals to receive the High Performing recognition. Five other UCHealth hospitals received the recognition, including Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, Longs Peak Hospital, University of Colorado Hospital and Memorial Hospital.
Masks required at UCHealth facilities
For the safety of patients, visitors, staff and providers, masks are required in all UCHealth hospitals and facilities, including Yampa Valley Medical Center and its clinics. Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask over their nose and mouth at all times.
