Rocky Mountain Nordic Clubs gathered at the Frisco Nordic Center over the weekend for two days of racing. The events were part of the RMN JNQ Series and were the fifth and sixth of the season’s races. A Classic Sprint was held on Saturday and SSWSC XC athletes impressed. The Bishop Sisters, Georgia (U12) and Beatrice (U10) both won the Final A Heat. Their brother Forrest, finished second in the U8 final.

Trey Jones, won the opening Qualifier and proceeded to win each of the following heats to finish first overall in the U18/20M division. Henry Magill followed the same successful path in the U16M division. Nikita Andre advanced to the U16F Final, finishing 6^th overall on the day. Charlie Wiedel took 4^th place in the U14M A Final. Annika Wiedel captured 4^th place in the U10F A Final.

Sunday’s race was competed in the Freestyle Mass Start Format. SSWSC XC U18/20 male athletes showed their prowess, with Trey Jones finding his highest gear, taking the win, Griff Rillos lunged for second. Thomas Cooper skied to a strong 7^th place, followed by Grey Barbier in 8^th. Henry Magill doubled up with another convincing wing in the U16 male race. Teammates Campbell McLaren finished 6^th, Tristan Thrasher 7^th, Luke Bedell 26^th, in the U16 male race.

Top finisher in the U18/20 female 8k race was Tinsley Wilkinson in 11^th, followed by Heidi Andre in 12^th, Ruby May in 16^th, Suzy Magill in 17^th, and Charley Lodwick in 19^th.

The U16 females raced 5k and SSWSC XC finishers included: Kiri May 5^th place, Nikita Andre 6^th place, Grace Olexa 9^th place, Anna Rhodes 12^th place, Alena Rossi 24^th place.

Charlie Wiedel skied to an impressive 2^nd place in the U14 male 3k race. Quinn Dressen 14^th place, Colin Clark 17^th, Braden Fleming 22^nd, Lynx Beauregard 24^th, Henry Patten 25th.

Top SSWSC XC finisher in the U14 female race was Shea Rossi, finishing 7^th, followed up with, Shea Sias 13^th, Davis Brosterhous 14^th, Leah Miller 18th.

U12 boys 3k race saw SSWSC XC athletes produce strong finishes: Conor Devin 6^th place, Bode Rhodes 7^th place, Sawyer Landers 8^th place, Fisher Beauregard 12^th place, Reid Graham 20^th place.

Georgia Bishop extended her RMN winning streak, taking the U12 female race. Other U12F finishers were- Maren Sachs 12^th place, Klara Novotny 18^th place.

Beatrice Bishop won the U10F race in dramatic fashion, out lunging her competition for the win. Annika Wiedel sked to an impressive 3^rd place.

In the boy’s U8 race, Axel Loomis came 2^nd and Forrest Bishop third.
