About 180 kids were running, jumping, racing and hurdling on the track at Gardner Field at Steamboat Springs High School Thursday for the last day of Track and Field Camp. Mollie MacEntee is headed into 4th grade.

“I like the coaches, the stations, and pretty much the whole camp.”

Head Coach Lisa Renee Tumminello.

The coaches were middle school and high school kids involved in the track program, under the leadership of Head Coach Lisa Renee Tumminello.

The day ended with relay races around the track. 5-year-old Shiloh Johnson is the youngest of four kids in her family at the camp. We asked her how fast she can run.

“I don’t really know but pretty fast.”

The camp was for kids in kindergarten through 8th grade. Participants were from throughout Routt County.
