Starting with COVID news today, Routt County had 40 new reported cases on Thursday, from the day before. Moffat County had 20 new cases of COVID in one day. That’s according to the CDPHE.

The Steamboat Springs Farmers Market starts tomorrow in the same place, on Yampa Street, between 6th and 8th Streets. This year, Lisa Popovich with Main Street Steamboat says there will be a Western Welcome Center.

“So in the center of 7th Street each week, there will be different non-profits, community groups, government officials, and just general information for the public.”

Popovich says there will be 150 booths each Saturday, 80 percent of which are local to Colorado with most of them in the Yampa Valley. Marie Winter runs the Northern Lights jewelry tent. She’s been at the Steamboat Farmers Market since it began in 2005.

The coaches were middle school and high school kids involved in the track program, under the leadership of Head Coach Lisa Renee Tumminello.

The day ended with relay races around the track. 5-year-old Shiloh Johnson is the youngest of four kids in her family at the camp. We asked her how fast she can run.
