Starting with football today, the Moffat County Bulldogs battled it out with the Steamboat Sailors last night in Craig. Yes, a Thursday night game. The Bulldogs ended up with the W, 33-20. Kody May made the call.
Both teams have one win and one loss on the season.
In more football, the Soroco Rams are at home tonight against Gilpin County from Black Hawk. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
The Hayden Tigers are away on Saturday, with a 1 p.m. game against Plateau Valley.
There are two new resorts that have been added to the Ikon Pass. They are Lotte Arai Resort in Japan and Panorama in British Columbia. That’s 50 global mountain destinations in 10 countries, one of which is Steamboat. Ikon Pass Information
Moffat County has some board positions open on the Council on Aging, the Housing Authority Board, the Moffat County Tourism Association, and the Planning & Zoning Commission. Reach out to Erin Miller at the Moffat County Commissioners office if you’re interested.
In Craig, City Hall and city offices are closed at 3 p.m. today, and closed on Monday for Labor Day.
City offices in Steamboat Springs are also closed this afternoon and Monday. Then part of 6th and Yampa Street in Steamboat is closed today for a private event.
Colorado Department of Transportation says to be careful on the road for the Labor Day weekend. They are suspending all construction projects through next Tuesday.
In weekend fun…
The Steamboat Hoedown is tonight. It’s a benefit for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Colorado, which serves 1,100 children in Steamboat and Craig.
The Steamboat Springs Farmers Market continues this weekend on Yampa Street. There are four more weeks of the local farmers market. It runs through Sept. 24.

Sunday is Bull Riding with Riding the Rockies. Gates open at 3 p.m. and the dirt flies at 5 p.m. Sunday at Romick Arena at Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs.
The Town of Oak Creek celebrates Labor Day in a big way all weekend. There is a pancake breakfast both Saturday and Sunday with the 10th Annual Car and Motor Show at noon on Main Street in Oak Creek Saturday. Events are all day long on Labor Day on Monday, with the parade at 11 a.m. followed by fun all afternoon at Decker Park in Oak Creek.
Rangely has a weekend of Labor Day celebrations with the 42nd Annual Septemberfest. Events and fun are all day Saturday and Sunday with the Wild West Septemberfest Parade. It starts at 9 a.m. Monday on Labor Day. It’s followed by the car show, craft fair, duck race, and BBQ in the park.
Thunder Rolls Bowling in Craig has free bowling for the kids from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday with their Youth Bowling League starting Sept. 10.
