The Stage 1 Fire restrictions are being lifted in Routt County. Routt County Commissioners voted unanimously to lift the restrictions because of the rainy weather forecasts. It goes into effect at 12:01 tonight. Grand County is also lifting their Stage 1 Fire restrictions.
A mountain lion was spotted near Steamboat Springs High School Tuesday afternoon. The school put a hold on students and staff leaving the building, but it was only for about ten minutes. Kids stayed in class but all outside doors were locked and closed. There was an inspection outside in the area where the mountain lion was spotted and then the hold was lifted.
It is Homecoming Week at Steamboat Springs High School. The parade is at 1:40 p.m. Thursday. The football game is at 7 p.m. Friday night, with the Sailors taking on the Aspen Skiers.

Rodeo season is underway for the Spartans of Colorado Northwestern Community College. They just competed in Pocatella, Idaho and are off to Logan, Utah, this weekend for college rodeo at Utah State University. Then the big Spartan Showdown is at the Moffat County Fairgrounds in Craig, Sept. 30 through Oct. 1.

Integrated Community is hosting Fiesta Latina for National Hispanic Heritage Month. It’s from 8-11 p.m. this Saturday night at Fiesta Grill at 1755 Central Park Drive. There is a suggested donation of $5.
Octoberfest at The Haven Assisted Living is coming up Oct. 1. It’s on the back patio at the center in Hayden. There will be live music and a beer garden plus lots of fun and a silent auction. Tickets are available right now at The Haven, or through their website at HavenSeniorLiving.org/events.
