In news from North Park in Jackson County, the young calf that was attacked by a wolf is going to be OK. That’s the word from Adam VanValkenburg who is president of the North Park Stockgrowers Association. But he says the calf has a tough road ahead and it is being given antibiotics. The other young calf that was attacked did not make it. The investigation by wildlife officers with Colorado Parks and Wildlife confirmed the recent attacks were from wolves. The livestock owner will be compensated for the loss. Mandie Shoemaker owns the young calf that is still alive and she says they have named it Houdini.
