Routt County Sheriff’s Office Assists SSPD During Series of Incidents
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-October 28, 2022-The Steamboat Springs Police Department (SSPD) released additional information about the two individuals arrested in connection with a crime spree yesterday, October 27. The suspects were booked into jail on the following charges.
Taylor White – 25 years old
- Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, C4F theft of vehicle and causing $500 in damage to property and vehicle
- Theft of approximately $9400 worth of property, C5F
- 1st degree criminal trespass, C1M
- 2nd degree criminal trespass, C2M
- Drove vehicle revoked habitual offender, MT2
White was arrested on October 23 in Arvada, Colorado, for stealing a vehicle in Lakewood, Colorado.
Dory Mylar – 36 years old
- Aggravated Motor Vehicle Theft, C4F theft of vehicle and causing $500 in damage to property and vehicle
- Theft of approximately $9400 worth of property, C5F
- 1st degree criminal trespass, C1M
The suspects stole almost $9,400 worth of camping and outdoor gear including a firearm from a vehicle parked in Ski Times Square. White subsequently stole a Toyota Tacoma parked at the Kum & Go and fled to CR 33 before driving several miles through fields and crashing in a ditch. Officers located the suspect a mile away from the truck.
Later in the day, SSPD located another stolen truck occupied by White’s accomplice, Dory Mylar. That truck contained items stolen from the vehicle in Ski Times Square. Mylar had entered a RV parked near the truck she stole, and officers were concerned of a possible suspect being barricaded in the RV. The Combined Emergency Response Team (CERT) responded, entered the vehicle, and found no one located in the RV.
During this series of incidents, Routt County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to assist officers. SSPD is incredibly thankful for the strong partnership with the men and women of RCSO.
All criminal charges are merely accusations, and that the defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Two Individuals Arrested for Series of Related Crimes
Stolen Vehicles & Ensuing Barricade Situation Deploys CERT
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-October 27, 2022-The Steamboat Springs Police Department (SSPD) investigated a series of related crimes that lead to the arrest of two individuals on multiple charges today, Thursday, October 27, 2022.
This morning, SSPD officers responded to a theft from a vehicle where hunting gear and a firearm were stolen. Later that morning, SSPD received a call about a stolen truck, a Toyota Tacoma, which was reported to be idling unoccupied at the Kum & Go on the west side of town.
The reporting party followed the vehicle until the driver evaded them by turning into a ranch off County Road 33. The suspect drove across several fields. SSPD found the truck unoccupied and disabled in a ditch several miles away. Officers searched the area and arrested the driver approximately a mile from where the vehicle crashed.
Several hours after the apprehension of the first suspect, officers located a Chevrolet pickup truck the suspect was in prior to stealing the Toyota Tacoma. Officers contacted a female in that vehicle, which was also reported stolen out of Westminster, CO. During the stop, items were found which were stolen from the vehicle theft reported earlier in the morning. The female suspect was taken into custody.
During that contact, officers noticed a nearby RV with an open door which the female suspect admitted entering. Not knowing if anyone else was inside the RV, officers made announcements with no response. Ultimately, the Combined Emergency Response Team (CERT) responded to the scene and less lethal means (tear gas) were deployed to contact a possible suspect. When officers made entry, no one was found.
Both suspects were booked into jail on multiple charges. The suspect who stole the Toyota Tacoma was identified as 25-year-old Taylor White and the female suspect was identified as 36-year-old Dory Mylar.
