By Shannon Lukens.

Prom season at local high schools is approaching. Local prom committees would appreciate your support with the local proms and especially After Proms. This is where students enjoy a fun, safe, drug- and alcohol-free event after their prom.

The After Prom committees at the local schools count on financial contributions from the community.

Here’s more on how you can help. And if you are with an After Prom Committee and have more details and information, please email Shannon@SteamboatRadio.com and it can be added here.

Soroco High School Prom is April 22

Prom Night for Soroco High School is April 22. Prom is in Library Hall at Bud Werner Memorial Library in Steamboat Springs. After Prom is organized by the Junior parents and held at the high school. The committee is looking for donations of either prizes of money. Reach out to Brandi Dudley at 970-238-0425. Or drop off donations at the high school.

Moffat County High School Prom is April 29

Prom at Moffat County High School is Saturday, April 29. Prom organizers are asking for help with donations for After Prom. Donations can be dropped off at the high school. For questions, contact School Counselor Stacy Atkin at 970-826-6610.

Hayden High School Prom is April 29

Saturday, April 29, is Prom Night for the Hayden Tigers. Prom is at the high school. Details are being finalized for After Prom. There will be raffles and games and other entertainment. Donations can be dropped off for the After Prom Committee at the high school with checks made out to Hayden After Prom. Donations from the community are very much appreciated.

For more information, reach out to Traci Smith at Smithfam315.TS@gmail.com

Steamboat Springs High School Prom is May 13

Saturday night, May 13, is prom, and then the popular After-Prom at Steamboat Springs High School. Prom will be held at the Steamboat Grand and then on to After Prom. The public is invited to see the transformation at the high school from 7-9 p.m. on that Saturday night. Donations (prizes and financial) are also always being accepted for the After Prom Party, which is a fun, safe, drug- and alcohol-free event for nearly 420 students at Steamboat Springs High School and Steamboat Springs Mountain School.

For questions, contact Nicolien Eckelboom at nicolien.eckelboom@gmail.com

The event is 100% dependent on financial support from the community. All donations are tax deductible. Checks can be made out to SSHS After Prom and delivered or mailed to Steamboat Springs High School.
