The Steamboat Sailors Girls Soccer team has a returning player this year, who is now coaching. Kelly Labor Brown is a 2006 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School.
“It is a dream come true for me and my family and a little surreal to be coaching now at the high school.”
Her senior year, she was All-State and the Western Slope Soccer Player of the Year. Here’s Head Coach Rob Bohlmann.
“The really exciting thing about our program this year is the addition of Kelly Labor Brown. The energy and excitement that she is bringing into this program is tremendous.”
Brown played for Regis and UNLV. She coached for CU and CSU and eventually was head coach back at Regis. And now she’s back full circle, coaching at Gardner Field. She and her husband help run the Steamboat Soccer Club.
The next game for the Sailor Girls Soccer team is at 11 a.m. this Saturday, at home at Gardner Field.
