Uphill Access

Here is the Uphill Policy at Steamboat Resort as of Monday, April 17

Uphill access at Steamboat Ski Resort will continue to be available after the resort closes for the winter season on April 16. Users need to be aware that resort crews will be working across the entire mountain with heavy machinery and plowing road cuts in preparation for on-mountain improvements this summer. Due to end of season operations and snow clearing, users should remain on preferred routes which are from the base area up Vogue to Heavenly Daze to the top of the Gondola, and from Thunderhead up Why Not Face to BC Ski Way to the bottom of Storm and up Ego to Tornado Lane to Buddies. Beyond mid-mountain, Rainbow Saddle will be heavily impacted by active machinery for snow removal operations.

Users should remain aware and alert that they could encounter working crews, roads, snow banks and machinery at any time during the post season. During this time, mountain resources are not available to users including facilities such as bathrooms, water fountains, etc; and patrol. If uphill user have an emergency while on the mountain they should call 911. All uphill access is at the skier and rider’s own risk.

Even though the season has ended, uphill users should still abide by all regulations outlined at www.steamboat.com/uphill including not bringing dogs on their adventure.
