Morgan Wallen has issued a statement after he was forced to suddenly postpone Sunday night’s concert in Oxford, Mississippi at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. According to fans in attendance, the cancellation came just minutes before his set was set to begin. The venue shared at the time: “Ladies & Gentlemen, Unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight – therefore tonight’s show has been cancelled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase.”

Just moments before showtime on Sunday (April 23), Wallen took to his Instagram stories to share the unfortunate news that he lost his voice and is unable to perform: “After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better. I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is shot and I am unable to sing. All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could.” Prior to Wallen’s cancellation, HARDY, ERNEST and Nate Smith served as support and were able to perform

Wallen’s next scheduled tour date will take place in Grand Rapids, MI at Van Andel Arena on April 27. He is currently in the midst of the U.S. leg of his One Night At A Time World Tour, which kicked off with two sold-out shows at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin earlier this month. The lengthy trek will visit 30 stadiums, plus arenas, amphitheaters and festivals to fans across four countries and two continents, with the North American leg of the trek wrapping-up on October 7 at Tacoma Dome in Washington. The tour will return overseas this fall with stops in Canada before heading to The O2 in London on Dec. 3.
