Twenty-five Soroco FFA students are headed to CSU-Pueblo this week for the Colorado State FFA Agricultural Education Convention. Twenty are competing and others will participate in the workshops at the state convention, which is June 5-8.
Carmen Anarella is the Vice President of the Soroco FFA Chapter in Oak Creek.
“We come from a small town in Northwest Colorado so it’s huge that we have so much representation at the state contest. But we’re just incredibly blessed that we have the program that we have and the resources that we have to be so successful.”
Anarella is also the president of the Northwest Colorado Chapter of FFA.

The Soroco FFA Chapter is also being recognized for having a state FFA officer. Kayla Rossi serves as treasurer on the Colorado FFA board. This is her last week in office. Rossi will be making her retiring remarks during Session One of the convention on Tuesday evening.
