Bruce Springsteen was forced to postpone his Wednesday and Friday concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia due to illness.

Springsteen’s account on X (previously known as Twitter) shared the following statement: ‘Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed … We are working on rescheduling the dates so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows.’  The tour has been affected with multiple missed shows due to COVID-19, and shows in Ohio and Connecticut were also postponed due to illness.

The 73-year-old Springsteen and the E Street Band’s next two concerts are scheduled at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on August 24 and 26; followed by shows in Springsteen’s home state of New Jersey on Aug. 30, Sept. 1 and Sept. 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
