Paula Kay Hall has been sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession to distribute methamphetamine, a Class One drug felony. Hall had been tracked from Denver to Craig on a drug run in October 2022. Moffat County Sheriff’s Officers and Craig Police stopped her car on Victory Way. A K9 dog alerted officers to the scent of controlled substances. A search found 800 grams of methamphetamine, 580 fentanyl pills, and over 10 grams of cocaine, hidden in a stuffed animal in the trunk of her car. This was Hall’s third conviction for the sale and distribution of controlled substances in Colorado.

Press release from the District Attorney’s office with the 14th Judicial District; Oct. 9, 2023.

“PAULA KAY HALL SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS FOR POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE METHAMPHETAMINE”

Moffat County, Colorado – Paula Kay Hall, 59, was sentenced on October 4, 2023, to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a class 1 drug felony.

On October 24, 2022, after tracking Ms. Hall from Denver, CO to Craig, CO on a drug run, Investigators with the All Crimes Enforcement Team, the Moffat County Sheriff’s Office and the Craig Police Department stopped her vehicle on Victory Way. Officers ran a drug detection K9 near her vehicle, and the dog alerted to the scent of controlled substances.  A subsequent hand search of the vehicle found over 800 grams of methamphetamine, 580 fentanyl pills and over 10 grams of cocaine.  The drugs were hidden in a “Peter Rabbit” stuffed animal in the trunk of her vehicle.  Ms. Hall has two prior convictions for the sale and distribution of controlled substances in Colorado.

Assistant District Attorney Matthew Tjosvold said: “Fentanyl is literally killing people in Moffat County, Colorado.  Methamphetamine use is breaking up homes and families.  We are committed to using every resource at our disposal to detect and punish these drug dealers.  ACET did an amazing job pursuing this case and we thank them.”

The investigation was led by Bryan Gonzales, Dave Siminoe and Matt Hammer of the All Crimes Enforcement Team, and the prosecution team was led by Assistant District Attorney Matthew Tjosvold.
